Hello, everyone.
Next week, seven students from Canada are going to visit our school.
They're going to stay in our town for five days, and come to school every day during their stay.
We're making some plans to talk with them.
Each of you can join the plan only once.
If you hope to join it, come to 3D classroom after school. Join us.

A:Good evening. It's time for news. Plastic waste in the sea has been a big problem for a long time. Yesterday, a scientist in the U.S. talked about this problem on the Internet. Please watch this video, “No more plastic waste”.

B:In the world, about 8 million tons of plastic waste is thrown away in the sea every year. It is impossible to find 99 percent of all the plastic waste in the ocean. That means we can't pick up the plastic waste out of the sea if we throw it once. Lately, big projects by NPO, “The Ocean Cleanup”, are started to pick up the plastic waste in the sea.

A:The projects by NPO are good news. Now, we also have good news. A junior high school student who saw this video made a plan to clean the beach and he wrote about the plan on the Internet yesterday. And today, in many places of Japan, a lot of people went to the beaches to clean. This news told us we have something we can do for the environment.

A:Hi, Emma. We learned about Japanese history in social studies class today. Is Japanese history difficult for you?

B:No, it isn't. It's very interesting for me. I came to Japan because I was interested in Japanese history. I often watched movies about Japanese history when I was an elementary school student.

A:Oh, I see. Have you ever visited the museum of Japanese history in this town?

B:Yes, I just went to the museum with my friend last weekend.

A:Really? How was it?

B:I learned a lot. We went there in the morning because I wanted to see many things.

A:How long did you stay there?

B:We stayed for three hours and we saw almost everything. Next month, there will be some new things to see, so I really want to go back. After we left the museum at noon, we had lunch in the park.

A:That's great. Hey, I have an idea. Today, our teacher, Mr. Fukuda, told us to make a newspaper as homework. Why don't you write about the things you learned in the museum for the newspaper?

B:Yes, that's a good idea. I'll try that.

A:I bought a DVD of the movie you wanted to watch, Haruko. Can you come to my house to watch it today?
B:Sorry, I can’t. I have a lot of math homework. I have to do it today.
A:Oh, I see. How about tomorrow?
B:That sounds good, thanks.

【Question】 What does Haruko have to do today?

(2)
A:Thank you for giving me a birthday present, Judy. I like the bag very much.
B:I'm happy you like it, Kanta. Oh, you’re wearing a nice T-shirt today.
A:This is a birthday present my sister gave me. And my mother made a birthday cake for me.
B:Great. But you wanted a computer, right?
A:Yes, I got one from my father.

【Question】What did Kanta get from his sister?
